Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme

CowsThe Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme provides funding for farmers to purchase equipment and improve productivity on their farm.

It involves a simple single stage online application, and once applications close, an email will be sent to inform you if you have been successful. The grant is targeted at supporting investment for specific pieces of Agricultural equipment. All the items included in the scheme have been identified as helping achieve improvement in either:

  • Animal Welfare
  • Resource Efficiency
  • Nutrient Management

The grant is for a minimum of £3,000 up to a maximum of £12,000. Grants can cover up to 40% of the eligible costs in your application, with the remainder of the costs being covered by the Farmers’ private funding sources. Farmers would need sufficient funds to be able to pay for the equipment up front and reimburse the 40% from the grant afterwards. Headings of funding come under sheep, pig, cattle, livestock, precision farming, general management and resource protection.

A handbook, detailing a list of what equipment can be applied for and a guide on how to apply, can be downloaded here.

Applications opened on 7th February and close on 14th March, if this is something you may be interested in, don’t delay. Please contact Amelia Sheldon at our Shipston Office at asheldon@sheldonbosleyknight.co.uk or 01608 661666.
