Sheldon Bosley Knight are delighted to sponsor the 2016 Midlands Tennis Challenger event, hosted by Warwick Boat Club.
With prize money of £1,000, Midlands players who played at Wimbledon this year, including Marcus Willis and Lloyd Glasspool, will be challenging for the title of Midlands Mens’ Singles Champion.
The tournament final is limited to 8 places, with the first 6 places being reserved for the highest ranked tennis players in the Midlands.
TWO wildcard places are available to any men’s singles players who are members of a Midlands tennis club. Tennis players from Midlands clubs are encouraged to compete to play the best Midlands players, including Marcus Willis who played Roger Federer and Lloyd Glasspool who played doubles with Dan Evans at Wimbledon.
The tournament will be at Warwick Boat Club on Saturday 10th September starting at 3pm and expected to finish at 7pm.
Entry to watch the tournament is free. Tournament entry fees are £5 with proceeds going to charity. The £5 entrance fee also includes tea and cakes.
