SBK’s first auction of 2024 thrills with fierce bidding

Fierce bidding on the final lot of the evening thrilled those who attended the first Sheldon Bosley Knight auction of the year.

The lot, 162 Grange Road, Longford in Coventry, had a guide price of £210,000 but after very competitive bidding, sold for £269,500.

The event, on Wednesday, February 28 at Stratford-upon-Avon Town Hall saw 83% of the entries sold raising an incredible £861,500.

Three were sold before the sale and two of the remaining three went on the night.

Sheldon Bosley Knight’s auctioneer, Matt Burrows said: “We are delighted with the success of this, our first auction of the year.

“The final lot was the stand-out and went £50,000 over guide price which meant we had a very happy client.

“We are already thinking about the next in-room sale in Hinckley which takes place in April.
