The small market town of Shipston-on-Stour is located in the north of the Cotswolds on the borders with Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire. Originally famed for its wool trade Shipston-on-Stour still has a Wool Fair each Spring Bank Holiday. It sits on the River Stour and one of its claims to fame is that it was featured in Robin Gibb’s song Cold Be My Days.
Shipston-on-Stour is easy to get to and has excellent road networks allowing access to the nearby towns of Evesham, Stratford-upon-Avon, Banbury and Warwick. The North Cotswolds are also within easy reach. The Fosse Way, M40 and M5 are a short drive away allowing access to larger cities of Oxford, Birmingham, and London and there are regular bus and train services via Moreton in Marsh, Evesham, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford.
