And the bells rang out for Christmas

Father Christmas made a special guest appearance at Sheldon Bosley Knight’s Shipston-on-Stour office as part of the town’s Victorian Evening.

Church bells rang out, the Cotswold Choir and town’s primary school choir sang carols and the Shipston Town Band played festive tunes at the event on Friday, December 6 which was organised by the Shipston Rotary Club.

The Sheldon Bosley Knight office was turned into a Christmas grotto with staff dressed up as the great man’s elves. Town mayor Cllr John Dinnie switched on the lights and Rev Daniel Pulham blessed the Rotary Tree of Life.

Children were entertained by the Balloon Man and a stilt walker and there was also mulled wine, a pig roast, tombola, raffle, mince pies and a variety of stalls selling food, wine and Christmas gifts.

Lettings manager Sarah Scaysbrook said: “We were so proud to be asked to host Santa in our Shipston office this year.

“This is a first for Sheldon Bosley Knight and the whole team really enjoyed getting involved in creating a Christmas Grotto, with some of the team even agreeing to dress up as elves to accompany Santa on the night.

“We welcomed families, handed out treats to the children and ensured the night ran smoothly. We were overjoyed with the positive feedback and have been asked to host Santa again next year so we couldn’t have asked for more!”
