Carolyn Arnold – Head of Lettings

Meet the new Head of Lettings, Carolyn Arnold

Carolyn has worked in lettings for over 16 years, working for a large corporate agent for the first 7 years working her way up from a property manager to head of the property management department and then to a regional position overseeing multiple property management centres across the midlands. She then took on an acquisition office managing both a property management team and a front-end lettings team. Her most recent job before joining us was as the head of and Property Management for a multi-office local firm. However, we are pleased to now announce that she has joined the SBK family and is going to lend experience and expertise to our already excellent lettings team.

What motivates you to work hard?
I am motivated by the people around me, all working together to reach the same goals, I love to hear positive feedback from happy clients which makes it all worthwhile.

Would you say you’re more of an extrovert or an introvert?
Somewhere in the middle! I am very sociable and outgoing but also like to sit back and observe, taking it all in before speaking so I can sometimes come across as shy.

What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of?
I employed a former colleague as a temp who had no industry experience. I helped train and mentor her over a few years of working together, when I moved on to my next position within the company, she replaced me as manager. This was a highlight in my career to have helped someone else to achieve their professional goals and ambitions which is one of the most rewarding parts of being a manager.

What attracted you to joining the SBK team?
From day one I had a really good vibe from everyone that I met, I left every meeting feeling really positive. I could really relate to SBK’s values about always doing the right thing and it was really appealing to work with similar, like-minded people who are as passionate about lettings and property management as I am.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given about an estate agency?
Look after your team and they will look after your clients.
