Two members of Sheldon Bosley Knight’s planning and architecture team scaled new heights when they successfully abseiled down one side of Coventry Cathedral for charity.
Assistant planner Izzy Allford and associate director Natasha Blackmore da Silva, took on the challenge on September 27 to raise money for Myton Hospice.
While it was a new experience for Izzy, it was Natasha’s fifth year taking part in what is now very much part of her calendar.
Myton Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people living with terminal illnesses across Coventry and Warwickshire.
The team not only supports patients’ physical needs but also works tirelessly to meet their psychological, spiritual and emotional needs, while offering continued support to their families.
The pair wanted to raise a combined total of £500 which would be added to the Hospice’s ambitions of £60,000 for the event which attracts many participants each year. They have since had confirmation the running total is now £83,5632.
Natasha said: “What an unforgettable experience abseiling down Coventry Cathedral! Even better, we smashed through our fundraising target of £60,000. Thank you to everyone who supported us!”
Izzy added: “It was great fun and I can’t wait for next year!”
