Raising money for Macmillan

A big thank you to all those who donated so generously to Macmillan Cancer Support at one of our staff’s coffee mornings.

Offices across the business played host to the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday, September 26, helping to raise £1,024.03.

Those visiting Sheldon Bosley Knight branches on the day were invited to have a cuppa and a slice of homemade cake before making a donation to Macmillan. All the money raised will go towards the charity which helps those with cancer and their families.

Oadby’s lettings co-ordinator Hannah Douglass said: “Our branch has raised £297.15 and counting, as we have still got some donations trickling in!

“We had fantastic support from the public on the high street despite the cold, and a few tenants and contractors pitched in as well coming in and out of the office.”

Kineton’s senior sales negotiator, Patrick Wilson said: “We opened the coffee morning outside from 9:30am and were non-stop with people until about 12:30. It was a great day meeting the locals and we raised £203.24!”

Macmillan’s statistics show on average someone is diagnosed with cancer in the UK at least every 90 seconds. Across the country, there are more than three million people living with cancer and this is set to rise to 4 million by 2030 so every penny helps.
