Shipston Victorian Evening 2017

SBK Coconut Shy Shipston Victorian EveningStaff from Sheldon Bosley Knight donned their best Victorian outfits and hosted a coconut shy at this year’s Victorian Evening in Shipston-on-Stour.

The stall proved very popular, testing the aim of all those who took part and bringing out the competitive streak in some!  Each contestant had three goes at knocking the coconuts off their perch and those who succeeded were rewarded with a bag of sweets.

There was a great atmosphere and the town square was packed with happy shoppers enjoying the array of stalls selling gifts, crafts, festive foods, and trying their luck at various raffles and tombolas.

SBK Coconut Shy Shipston Victorian EveningThe evening was opened by the Mayor and the Shipston Town Band were joined by children from the local primary schools for some carol singing.

SBK raised approximately £100 at the time of writing, which will go to the Rotary Club charities.  Thank you to all those who came to our stall and supported the event.
