Why move to Leamington Spa?

Leamington Spa is a vibrant town right in the middle of Warwickshire. It is a firm favourite with young people, families and those who love and enjoy all that a busy town has to offer. A former Royal Spa town, granted by Queen Victoria, Royal Leamington Spa is steeped in history, particularly the Regency period and this is reflected in the parks and architecture that make up the centre of town. Set on the winding River Leam which flows through the town and from where it gets its name, Leamington Spa is also known for its wide boulevards, the collonaded Pump Rooms, and the Jephson Gardens and was even mentioned in the Domesday Book. Not only that it is regularly voted as one of the happiest places in the country to live.

White terraced houses

Leamington Spa is a town that is easy to get to and which has accessible road and rail routes to the nearby towns of Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry and Birmingham. It is close to the M40 and M42 allowing access to larger cities such as Manchester and London. There are regular bus services to Warwick, Kenilworth, Stratford upon Avon and Coventry and trains to Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenilworth, Coventry, Warwick and London. Not only that, the Warwickshire countryside is within easy reach and the picturesque Cotswolds are also less than an hour’s drive away.

Leamington has a wealth of good schools both state and private. These complement other schools, both private, grammar and state, in the towns of Warwick, Coventry, and Stratford-upon-Avon which are all within easy commuting distance. King’s High School in nearby Warwick has recently been awarded the accolade of Senior School of the Year Award by the Independent Schools Association.

Those who love sport will love Leamington Spa! From bowls to rugby, there is plenty to get stuck into. Leamington Spa is famous for its Bowls Club which regularly hosts national and international tournaments.
