Today is A level, T level and BTEC results day. Thousands of young people across the country will be ripping open envelopes in the hope they have got the grades they need to progress to the next stage in their lives.
That may be a degree apprenticeship, university, or a year out either travelling, volunteering or working, or a combination of all three.
But the university path isn’t for everyone – and it doesn’t have to be. And if you are considering your next steps, we at Sheldon Bosley Knight may have a few options.
As a multi-disciplined business, we can offer work experience, on the job training and career progression via training and internal appraisals.
We don’t always look for a degree. In fact many of our roles don’t require specific qualifications at all – just good, old fashioned hard work, enthusiasm, determination and a willingness to succeed!
As well as sales and lettings, our departments cover rural, land and new homes, planning and architecture, commercial property and auctions with roles ranging from land agents to surveyors, property managers to auctioneers, valuers and architectural technicians.
We also have roles within our HR, IT, finance and communications and marketing departments such as designers, writers and accountants.
If you’d like further proof, check out our latest podcast in which auctioneer Jessica Lewis and graphic designer Alex Jackson talk about how skipping university didn’t mean missing out on a successful and engaging career.
If you are considering a career in land or property, or in a department within our business, or would like the opportunity to do some work experience, please do get in touch by emailing hradmin@sheldonbosleyknight.co.uk and enclose a copy of your CV.
