SBK’s growth continues with acquisition of two Leicestershire lettings businesses

Sheldon Bosley Knight (SBK) has finished the year with a bang by snapping up two more businesses.
Leicestershire agencies, Fox Lettings and Bradgate Lettings join the fold this month adding more than 1,000 let only and managed properties to SBK’s rental portfolio. SBK will retain both teams as part of the deal.
It further establishes a lettings base in Leicestershire for SBK, following the acquisition of James Sellicks lettings earlier in 2022.
SBK director and co-owner, Mike Cleary said: “Both Bradgate and Fox are well-established businesses with rich heritages and so it’s fantastic they have entrusted us to take over the reins.
“Bradgate has been a family-run business since its inception 30 years ago, and Fox celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and as we all share the same values and ethos, I feel both are therefore an excellent fit for SBK. I am confident we will continue to provide an excellent level of service and advice for tenants and landlords in Leicestershire.
“These acquisitions mark the end of a busy year for us. We have continued to push the boundaries and drive the business forward with our aim to grow SBK even further next year, our 180th year.
“There have been many great achievements this year, not least completing seven acquisitions and selling all stock at our first in-room auction in November.
“But I am particularly proud of our sales teams being achieving gold at the allAgents awards for Customer Experience giving us the coveted title of Midlands Estate Agency of the year and, against stiff competition, our lettings teams winning the overall Midlands Lettings Agency Bronze Award.
“As it’s the first year we have participated in these awards, it makes the teams’ successes all the sweeter. Collectively they are amazing achievements and a testament to how hard the teams have worked.”
SBK, which celebrates its 180th birthday next year, now boasts 15 offices and more than 100 in-house staff across Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire, the Cotswolds, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
