What was your first job in the industry?

A placement at Sheldon Bosley in the summer of 2016, between my second year and third year at the Royal Agricultural University.

What attracted you to working in rural property?

I was brought up in a rural environment in Warwickshire. Rather bizarrely, I now assist in the management of the Estate that I previously lived amongst. I think the openness and tranquillity of the countryside got me set on a career in the rural industry.

What have you enjoyed most about your time at Sheldon Bosley Knight?

Having the opportunity to learn from professionals who are outstanding in their fields of expertise.

What is the most exciting thing about your job?

The people that I meet along with the variety of places that I visit.

What are you currently working on?

At the moment, Basic Payment Scheme applications on behalf of farmers and landowners and preparing Countryside Stewardship Scheme applications. My rural practice work continues and includes estate management, land sales, landlord and tenant issues, planning related matters and acting on behalf of parties affected by compulsory purchase.

Who or what inspires you most?

My friends and family, they are always supporting me.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given about the industry and who was it from?

“Do what is right come what may”, which is the motto of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Where is your favourite place to eat out in Warwickshire?

It has to be the Bower House in Shipston.

If you could view any celebrity’s house, whose would it be?

I think it would have The Queen’s Balmoral Castle!
