Meet the Team: Millie, Sales Manager

What was your first job in the industry?

Trainee Sales Negotiator.

What attracted you to working in estate agency?

I love houses and people!

What have you enjoyed most about your time at Sheldon Bosley Knight?

Being able to develop my skills with the support of the team. I’ve made great friends with a lot of my colleagues.

Sum up your job in 3 words?

Finding Dream Homes!

What is the most exciting thing about your job?

It’s different everyday, I love meeting new people and I always get excited about taking on lovely new properties.

How have you adapted your role to cope with the impact of coronavirus?

I drink more tea! Not a lot has actually changed, other than not being able to do viewings, I’m still doing everything I would to progress sales and deal with enquiries. Helping other branches has been nice and it’s been good to do some house keeping, like calling applicants more often – I never normally get the time! Keeping in contact is so important at this time because people cant just ‘pop in’ and see us.

Who or what inspires you most?

The feeling you get when a property sale completes and you finally get to give the keys to the new owner. It’s a massive sense of happiness and achievement, particularly if it’s been a difficult and lengthy process.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given about the industry and who was it from? That the market will always bounce back! I’ve only been an estate agent for a short time (compared to some) but in that time I’ve seen a lot happen. The markets you sell in are normally the ones you buy in so it’s all relative but no matter what happens, the market will recover. Also, to give people more time!

Describe your dream house?

My dream home would be a farm house with a bit of land. I love character properties so it would need a log burner or two and an AGA in the kitchen would be nice.

If you could view any celebrity’s house, whose would it be?

I’d love to go and view one of the royals’ houses!
