Earlier this autumn, a team from Sheldon Bosley Knight put on their walking boots to raise money for a very special cause.
The team of Chloe Wright, Katie Fitzgerald, Nareece Ford, Max Danby, Isobel Dix, Micha Johnson, Rebecca Dean, James Taylor and Sam Wright, took on the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in aid of the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust.
They trained hard for the event which they completed in the early hours of Sunday, September 14, smashing their £5,000 target in the process.
Now, thanks to the incredible generosity of all those who supported them, the funds raised have helped the Trust buy a brand new vein finder.
This vital piece of equipment helps make blood tests and IV treatments easier and more comfortable for patients, particularly those undergoing treatment for leukaemia.
Some of the team were able to hand over the vein finder to Sue Sollis, who founded the Trust in memory of her daughter Tracy.
Assistant lettings manager Katie Fitzgerald said: “We’re so proud of what our team achieved together and so grateful to everyone who donated, encouraged, and supported us along the way.
“A huge thank you as well to the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust for the life-changing work they do every day.”
