Celebrating our rising stars

Congratulations to two of our rising stars on gaining yet more professional qualifications!

Our rural surveyor, Archie Benson, has successfully passed his chartered exams to become a RICS chartered surveyor.

Archie, who has been with Sheldon Bosley Knight since November 2021, completed two years of work experience and undertook the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

Studying the APC syllabus and practice for the assessment included a combination of written exams, case studies and professional interviews before a final exam. Archie’s achievement comes on top of also successfully passing the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) exam last year.

Samantha-Marie Parsons is also celebrating as she becomes a professionally qualified auctioneer. To gain her Propertymark Level 3 Award in Real Property Auctioneering, she passed four separate exam modules covering health and safety, security and general law, the law relating to real property auctions, practice and procedures relating to real property auctioneering and property appraisal and the auction process.

Samantha-Marie said: “I have been completing the modules alongside my day-to-day job gaining the experience needed as a valuer and on average has taken around six months to complete.

“I’ll soon become a member of NAVA, which will give confidence to our clients, knowing they are receiving a professional and informative level of service and advice.

“I’m incredibly proud of this achievement and now means I’m a professionally qualified auctioneer!”
