Hannah Kelham has recently joined Sheldon Bosley Knight as associate director in our new homes department. With a career spanning more than 30 years she is looking forward to bringing her winning ways to the team! When she’s not helping our clients, Hannah runs a local mental health running club and also loves theatre, live music and travel, particularly if it involves a cruise around the Bahamas…..!

What is your role and what does your job entail?

My role involves winning and selling new homes business and all aspects this encompasses. There is not a typical day no two are the same.

How did you get into the property industry and how long have you worked within it?

I have been working in the property industry since I was 16. I started as a weekend sales negotiator and have worked in the business for 35 years

What attracted you to working for Sheldon Bosley Knight?

I have seen the way the company has grown over the years, something unusual in the current climate and exciting. I know a few people who work here and they have told me what a great company SBK is and how it genuinely cares about its staff and it is a positive, healthy environment.

What’s the best bit about your job?

No two days are the same. I love meeting and pitching to clients and still get the fire in my belly when I get a win.

What qualifications or training do you need to do this job?

No qualifications are required, just an outgoing personality, a will to succeed and great people skills.

What motivates you to work hard?

I live for my holidays! I also love spending time with my family and I have a holiday home in Cornwall overlooking the sea which has always been my dream.

Who or what inspires you?

My family. By working hard I want to make sure they always have whatever they could wish for.

What are your career goals?

I am fortunate to have had an amazing career and I want to work for a company where I feel valued and the environment is positive and healthy.

What do you do when you are not at work?

I love travelling and going on cruises. My favourites have been to the Caribbean St Kitts, Nevis, British Virgin Islands but I love Cannes, Palma and Ibiza. I’d love to go to the Bahamas for its stunning scenery and great scuba diving. Other than travel, I also like going to the theatre, walking, running, keeping fit, shopping and fashion, eating out, surfing, kayaking and paddle boarding. I love spending time with my husband, son and Sid our bulldog. I also run a mental health running club Run Talk Run in my local town.

What is the best piece of career advice you have ever been given?

You are just a number. If you got hit by a bus tomorrow your company would replace you so it’s not worth making yourself ill for your work.

The fastest I have ever sold and exchanged on a property is two days just before year end – so one very happy developer!
