Evesham 10K raises £8,000 for local good causes

The sore feet and aching limbs gained by those who took part in this year’s Evesham Town 10K were worth it as more than £8,000 was raised for local good causes.

The organisers of the event have written to sponsors, one of which was Sheldon Bosley Knight, to outline where the money will be going.

Evesham Defibrillators are to receive £2,500 and Evesham Adventure Playground will get £1,500. Vale Wildlife, Evesham Foodbank and Clause for a Cause will each receive £1,000. Evesham Rowing Club and Evesham Rugby Club are to be given £300 each and £500 will go to CASS and friends and Wallace House.

Event organiser Helen Keepence said: “A massive thank you to everyone at Sheldon Bosley Knight for sponsoring our event.

“We are so pleased with all the positive feedback from participants and spectators alike, so much so we have committed to holding the event again in July 2025.

“This would not have been possible without you, so thank you once again for your support  from all the 10k committee and all members of EVRC.”

Sheldon Bosley Knight’s lettings manager Josh Jones, who took part in this year’s event said: ‘We are thrilled to have sponsored the Evesham Town 10k Run, a fantastic event that brought our community together for a great cause.

“It was an honour to support local runners as they took on the challenge, raising over £8,000 for charity.

“At Sheldon Bosley Knight, we are committed to giving back to the community, and being part of this event reflects our ongoing dedication to making a positive impact locally.

“Congratulations to all the participants and organisers for such a successful day – we’re already looking forward to next year!”
