Sheldon Bosley Knight staff are getting ready to fire up their coffee machines and bake their favourite cakes for charity.
Our Nuneaton, Shipston, Kineton offices and colleagues at Jephson Legal will be celebrating and supporting Macmillan Cancer Support and it’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday, September 27. The Stratford office will be hosting its event on Monday, September 23.
Sheldon Bosley Knight’s sales manager Amy Nicholson said: “Sadly everyone knows someone living with or affected by cancer and so we want to do our bit to help.
“All the Sheldon Bosley Knight offices taking part will be baking cakes and putting the kettle on and encourage everyone to come and join them to help raise money for Macmillan.
“Not only is it a chance to meet and chat to all the wonderful people and businesses which make up our communities, but every donation will help Macmillan support those living with cancer and their families.”
For more than 30 years this annual event has raised millions of pounds for Macmillan to help more people affected by the disease.
Macmillan’s statistics show on average someone is diagnosed with cancer in the UK at least every 90 seconds. Across the country, there are more than 3 million people living with cancer and this is set to rise to 4 million by 2030. The need for Macmillan’s support services has never been greater.
Just £34 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for one hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
A donation of £60 could help run a medium Macmillan Welfare Benefits Advice service for one hour, providing those living with cancer an easy-to-understand, impartial advice on claiming the financial support they’re entitled to.
For £163, emotional support could be provided to one person living with cancer for around eight weeks, through ongoing and regular support sessions with one of the Macmillan Buddies.
Please do come along to any of the offices listed and help us add to Macmillan’s vital funds.
