Why move to Kineton?

Kineton is a pretty village on the River Dene, deep in the heart of South Warwickshire that was even mentioned in the Domesday Book. Given its rural location, it is a firm favourite of both families and those who want a life away from the hustle and bustle of city living.

Kineton is a village that is easy to get to and which has accessible routes to the nearby towns of Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa. It is close to the Fosse Way and M40 allowing access to the larger cities of Birmingham and London. There are regular bus services to Stratford-upon-Avon and Banbury and trains from Leamington Spa to Birmingham and London.

Although a small village, the schools in Kineton are well regarded and very popular as they are well rated by Ofsted. They complement other schools, both private and state, in the towns of Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon which are all within easy commuting distance.

Sporting enthusiasts will love Kineton as the area boasts plenty of activities to get immersed in including an active and well-used Sports and Social Club in the village. Elsewhere there is horse racing at racecourses in Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon, Tewkesbury and Worcester, as well as golf at courses in Stratford, Bidford, Welford, and Chipping Campden. Elsewhere there is the Cotswold Riding at Stanton, Swimming at Warwick, and indoor crazy golf in Cheltenham. The beautiful countryside right on the doorstep provides plenty of opportunities for walking especially with our four-legged friends.

Kineton is blessed with a great sense of community. There are two pubs, a post office and a very popular chippie and Indian takeaway and restaurant – essential to village life! There is also plenty to do in the village including a thriving Sports and Social Club, Amateur Dramatic Society, Kineton Camera Club and the Edgehill Bellringers.

The village has expanded over the years in terms of population and this has led to the development in the housing stock. Thus Kineton now includes both periods as well as new build homes. Given its stunning location, excellent road and rail links, good schools and a thriving and buzzing community, it’s little wonder Kineton is a desirable place to live.

Although a village, Kineton boasts several shops and services including a post office and two pubs, and some very popular eateries. A little further afield in Stratford-upon-Avon, Banbury, Warwick and Leamington there are supermarkets as well as a variety of independent and high street shops, offices and other businesses.
