Applicants sought for new property advisory panel

The Property Redress Scheme (PRS) is putting together an advisory panel to improve governance, accountability and sector representation when formulating policies.
It is inviting applications from the UK property sector and is looking to fill up to 15 board positions.
The panel will meet twice a year, once in person and once virtually. Those on the panel will help the PRS by providing guidance, advice and support within their specific area of expertise and experience in the property industry.
The current PRS Advisory Council was set up to advise head of redress Sean Hooker and refer him to matters of consideration such as new or modified laws or forthcoming government policies as they relate to the property industry.
The new approach is to promote a genuinely authentic outlook and attitude across all areas of the property spectrum and to make sure the PRS takes a balanced and knowledgeable view in its vision and in all its policy decisions.
The areas of representation the PRS is seeking experts from are: Holiday lets, house buyers, inventories, landlords, leaseholders, lettings professionals, property education, property sourcing, rent-to-rent, residential leasehold  management professionals, sales professionals and tenants.
Anyone interested can apply themselves or nominate a third party. Applicants are invited to apply both as individuals or as nominees of a relevant sector organisation.
Applications close on Wednesday August 31, 2022. Successful applicants will be contacted by Monday, September 12 and the new panel will be announced on Thursday, September 15.
