Celebrating the coronation of King Charles III

This weekend we celebrate the historic occasion of the coronation of King Charles III.
Charles Philip Arthur George was born 75 years ago in November 1948 at a time when the country was recovering after six years of the Second World War.
As well as the birth of our future King, 1948 was a notable year for other reasons: London hosted the summer Olympic Games, Sri Lanka gained independence from Great Britain, the Marshall Plan was agreed and The United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
It was also a significant year for Sheldon Bosley Knight. The company, known at that time as Kibler Morgan and Son, celebrated its 105th year with John Morgan joining his father in the business which moved to new premises in Ely Street, Stratford-upon-Avon.
In the intervening years, our business has grown and developed, and now in our 180th year, we join the country to celebrate the rich heritage of the Royal Family with the coronation of King Charles.
