[et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text”]At Sheldon Bosley Knight, we’re all working from home for the foreseeable future. We’re lucky to be in a position that our business can mostly continue as normal, using the power of technology. If you normally work in an office, it can feel strange not to be surrounded by your colleagues every day and team morale is essential to ensure everyone stays productive and feels valued. Here are our top tips for keeping the team connected and engaged remotely.

Microsoft Teams

We’re already big fans of Microsoft Teams but we’re relying on it more than ever now. If you’re new to this software, it’s essentially a group chat for colleagues that allows anyone with the same email domain to send instant messages to each other. Use it for a casual chat to replace face to face office catch ups, cut down your email threads and make group calls through your laptop. Click here to set up your account.

Zoom

Zoom is a video conferencing website that allows up to 100 people to video call for free, or up to 500 with the upgraded package. It’s a great platform to host team briefings or client appointments. When you’re self isolating, face to face calls can bring back some normality to the work day and give you a reason to get dressed out of your pjs! Click here to sign up.

Virtual Quizzes

If your team usually enjoy a trip to the pub on a Friday after work, virtual quizzes are a fun way to maintain that social element. You could either take turns writing the questions and hosting on Zoom, or enter one of the many Facebook/Instagram live events popping up as a team. Make the prize something that can be redeemed once you’re back to work in the office as something to look forward to.

Online Workouts

If you and your colleagues normally take a walk around the block on your lunch break, an online workout could be a great replacement and an easy way to get in some exercise. There are plenty of fitness instructors posting free daily home workouts on YouTube, such as The Body Coach P.E classes or Yoga With Adriene. Set a time every day to all follow the workout and update each other on your progress.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column]
