Congratulations to our Evesham sales manager Chloe Wright for completing the Cheltenham Half Marathon.
The event, at the weekend, saw thousands of runners take to the streets of Cheltenham to run the 13-mile course.
Chloe, who crossed the finish line in two hours, 10 minutes and 10 seconds, said she was delighted with her time following weeks of training.
She said: “I set myself a challenge at the beginning of the year to start running to get myself fitter and healthier. I like having something to work towards and this seemed a good thing to do.
“I started off doing a 5k and then progressed to the Evesham 10K and then this. As I got into it, and got better at it, I realised how much I enjoyed it and wanted to keep going.
“The course was great as it was mostly through the town but the last bit was uphill which was quite hard work especially as it was towards the end of the route!”
Fortunately, it has not put her off and Chloe said she is planning more races next year, including possibly a full marathon.
She said: “I have always loved sport, and play in a local netball team, but I have also definitely got the running bug now and try and get out as much as I can. It’s been great for both my physical and mental health.
“I live near Bredon Hill and it’s such a lovely area to be in. Sometimes I go out with friends but equally it’s nice just to get out on my own, plug in my airpods and put some music or a podcast on.
“I want to do the Cheltenham Half Marathon again next year as well as the Evesham 10K and who knows, maybe even a full marathon!”
